The first of three A330 aircrafts at the Nadi Airport.

Air Pacific, soon to be ‘Fiji Airways’ has announced that from today all customers traveling to and from Hong Kong will only travel on the new A330 aircraft.

Air Pacific managing director and chief executive, Dave Pflieger says Hong Kong is an important market for the airline. The changes announced today, he said underlined their commitment to the market.

“From today onwards all customers travelling to and from Hong Kong will only travel on our new A330 aircraft, and as a further demonstration of our commitment to this market, we will be adding a third weekly Hong Kong service in January 2014,” Pflieger said.

To support Air Pacific’s expansion in the region, the airline has also established a new office in Hong Kong to manage strategic marketing and sales partnership in Hong Kong, mainland China, Southeast Asia and beyond.

The first A330 commercial flight to Hong Kong today was launched with a colourful and traditional Chinese and Fijian ceremony at the Nadi International Airport.

Pflieger said the airline was excited to showcase the new A330 flagship to key destinations now serviced by its B747s.
